Evo-lution is a bar consultancy, training and events company based
in the oil capital of Europe, Aberdeen, Scotland.
Set-up and run by leading bartender Adam Elmegirab,
Evo-lution provides a variety of consultancy and training services
for the drinks industry as well as offering professional bartenders
for a full range of corporate and private events.
Having worked in the industry since late 2000, Adam has been constantly honing his knowledge and skills before deciding to spread his wings and the word of professional bartending. After being approached to assist in the opening a new venue and run bars at many events, Adam recognised a need for professional bar training and consultancy in Aberdeen and decided to set up Evo-lution Bar Consultancy.
By keeping in touch with the drinking trends, styles and culture of the established cocktail capitals London and New York, as well as keeping an eye on trends around the globe, Adam Elmegirab is constantly at the forefront of cocktail bartending and development in Aberdeen and around Scotland. Over the years, Adam has made a number of friends in the industry based all around the world and is never short of inspiration or forward thinking ideas.
In recent years, Adam has burst onto the wider scale to be acknowledged as one of the bright new stars of the UK bar scene.
This is recognised
in recent achievements which include being a finalist in the 'Grand Marnier UK Bartender of the Year', writing articles for leading trade magazine 'CLASS', judging a series of drinks competitions for the likes of Diageo, Pernod Ricard and Moet Hennessy; whilst most recently Adam won the Drambuie UK Cocktail Competition 2010.
Adam was also selected to be one of twenty-seven bartenders to create an original cocktail to feature in Bacardi's inaugural La Legacia cocktail book, which is also be featured in Simon Difford's 'Difford's Guide Volume 8'.
Evo-lution boast a wealth of knowledge and contacts around the
globe and prides itself on its professionalism and passion towards
achieving its ultimate goal, of raising the standard and image of
professional bartending in Aberdeen and around the UK.

Adam is currently contracted in the role of consultant and trainer for Mim Lounge and Yatai in Aberdeen.

The Jerry Thomas Project has also led Adam to recreate Boker's Bitters, one of the finest cocktail bitters of the 1800s and early 1900s, which sadly closed due to the ravages of Prohibition. Adam's recreated Boker's bitters are distributed globally under the branding 'Dr. Adam Elmegirab's Bitters' and are now being used by some the world's best bartenders in some of the worlds best bars.
